One Family UK

The One Family Fund was created in response to help families in Israel affected by terrorism. Their stories are not one-off horrors but ongoing tragedies that affect the rest of their lives. One   Family looks after the long-term physical and emotional health of survivors and their families, together with their educational, housing, income maintenance and other needs. One Family is a catalyst, knowledgeable grant-maker and responsible guardian. It has helped more victims and families than any other private organisation.

One Family UK's vision is to fundraise without expenditure. Parlour evenings are the most effective way of achieving this. They have been a phenomenal success financially, but more importantly in highlighting their cause to potential donors. For these evenings, two members of One Family are brought over from Israel to speak about their experiences. It gives them a very necessary break from the realities they live with.

JNF UK provides One Family UK with office space and services which has helped them to raise over £750,000 in the last 3 years. This money has been distributed to victims of terror and their families for the many projects, including:

• Medical treatment not covered by Bituach Leumi (National Insurance)
• Assistance with rent, basic electrical appliances and home help
• Retreats for widows and widowers
• Summer camp in Israel for children
• Specialist wheelchairs
• Friendship trips for children brought to London for Chanukah and in the summer
• Trauma therapy
• Holiday gifts at Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah and Shavuot
