Top Israeli singer Harel Skaat sells out first ever UK show

Harel Skaat, one of Israel’s most famous young singers, performed before a sell-out audience in London on Sunday – his first ever performance in the UK. Skaat was performing as a guest of JNF UK.

Described by Haaretz as ‘the most passionate singer in Israeli music’, Skaat is renowned for his showmanship and intense, emotional performances and tonight’s audience were not disappointed. Skaat performed a selection of his biggest hits – including Milim, the song he performed at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Skaat did not originally intend to perform the song, but sang it as a special request of JNF UK.

Born in Kfar Saba, a city in Israel’s Sharon region, Skaat rocketed to fame after making the finals of Kochav Nolad – Israel’s X Factor.

Alan Aziz, CEO of JNF UK, was at the show and said: “This was a great opportunity for JNF UK to connect with a large audience, including many Israelis. The news around the world is not always good, and sometimes celebrating Israeli culture is the uplift that we all need.”
