In February 2020 JNF UK will once again be hosting our Festival of Spoken Ivrit. Following up on our successful first festival last year, our upcoming tour will bring the Hebrew language to life in schools up and down the country.
The festival will once again feature Tel Aviv’s Orna Porat Theatre, who will be performing three different plays in 14 different Jewish schools, as well as the JW3 cultural centre. The events, organised in collaboration with London-based Tzemach Productions, will run from the 2nd to the 10th of February.
The plays
The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
The classic fable about two very different mice experiencing their contrasting lifestyles.
Herzl: A Dream That Came True
An interactive re-telling of the story of how Theodor Herzl became the father of modern Zionism
Ten Matchboxes
A teacher shares the power of imagination and empathy with his students via some humble gifts.
The festival follows the launch of our £1.2M grant campaign to boost Israel education In Jewish schools across the UK.
