Office Administrator

JNF UK is Britain’s oldest Israel charity and has supported the Zionist pioneers since the days of the Second Aliyah. Today we are working to ensure that the people of Israel who live in the underdeveloped peripheries can also share in the Jewish State’s success story.

We are currently looking for a reliable and self-motivated Office Administrator. The job holder will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. They will be the first point of contact for JNF UK and their primary responsibility will be to handle all incoming calls and emails on a timely basis. They will be working under the direction and authority of the Chairman’s PA and the Head of Marketing to assist with written material and general administrative duties.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Welcome visitors and providing assistance as needed
  • Answering incoming calls and the office intercom and direct to the appropriate person
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Manage the out-of-office answer machine
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
  • Mailing out of brochures and marketing material
  • Draft, format and print relevant documents
  • Processing donations over the phone
  • Managing invoices and receipts
  • Proof-reading material produced by other departments
  • Printing and compiling documentation as required
  • Maintaining office files to ensure we are GDPR compliant
  • Providing event support when needed

You have:

  • Experience in office administration or relevant field is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Highly organised, multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent in prioritising and working with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational skills

Copywriter/ PR Manager (Full Time)

JNF UK is looking for a full-time Copywriter/PR Manager who is passionate about Israel and able to write engaging copy across a number of channels. The candidate will be based in our North London, Head Office, joining the marketing department and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing.

Within this role, you will be working on a wide variety of briefs, so versatility is key! No two days are the same, one day you may be brainstorming ideas and copywriting for a fundraising event, the next you could be writing our annual report.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Producing persuasive and emotional copy for JNF UK’s fundraising appeals
  • Drafting  copy to promote JNF UK events and trips
  • Writing about JNF UK’s multiple projects, adapting the copy to suit various styles (dependent on distributing platform) E.G. in depth information for our project sheets, to punchy and compelling newsletter and social media content
  • Drafting press releases and building relationships with journalists/ media
  • Help shape the JNF UK brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • The ability to develop our storytelling capabilities with a focus on telling more inspiring, compelling stories about the impact of our work
  • Updating website content
